These pictures do not form an unbiased view of the country of Romania. They show what interests me—places and people that I consider myself very privileged (and lucky!) to have experienced. My travel plans were rather casual. I visited some places I had planned on from the very beginning. These were way stops that gave the basic shape of my route. But mostly I wandered on my own by foot and auto and let what happened happen. Getting lost is a frustration that arises from this mode of travel. Afterwards, when going back over the trip and in learning more about Romania, I regretted at not seeing many things. Those will have to be done next time. It's the little adventures, the things that were different to me, given my background, and the warm an genuine people of the countryside that will always hold a place in my heart.
