I checked out the rooms. I'm always amazed on a hot summer day how cool these Romanian homes can be. The windows are open, then sun streams in along with the fresh air, and there is no incessant noise of an air conditioner inside or out. Not necessary! An added benefit is that you can be inside and still enjoy the music of the birds—or the barking of the neighbor's dog.
