We heard music and a lot of noise going on at the Piaţa Universităţii. The music was coming from an outdoor concert. The noise was a protest—one of the many that have been taking place throughout the country against the possible gold mining project at Roşia Montană in the Apuseni Mountains of western Transylvania.
